The professionals from H.R. Block give TurboTax a run for its money with their updated edition. TaxCut Deluxe is loaded with financial planning guidance, a new Tax Law Assistant, a 9-year tax preview, and the ability to import W-2 and 1099s from participating companies. Not as thorough as TurboTax Deluxe, and Mac support is lacking, but still an excellent value. For 2005, you now have the option of purchasing Deluxe with state tax forms and without (ideal for residents in states with no income tax).
